About Kozachky
Our Goals
- To unite and support Ukrainians (of different social status and professions) in the UK.
- To enrich Ukrainian and world cultural heritage.
- To satisfy the interests and needs of the international community for Ukrainian music.
- To sing in famous concert halls, spreading the uniqueness of Ukrainian culture, music, language and history.
Our Creation
The first rehearsal of Kozachky took place in October 2022 at St. George's Church in Bristol under the direction of highly qualified choral specialist Anna Pyshniuk. Gradually, the Ensemble was filled with wonderful creative people, both professional musicians and volunteers. From the very first day, all the people who came to the rehearsal were full of inspiration and enthusiasm to delve into Ukrainian song and delight the British people with our musical and spiritual richness.
Our Performances
During the 16 months of our existence, Kozachky ensemble had more than 80 concerts in the Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset area. Of these, the largest were:
- Concert at St. George's Church in Bristol in December 2022.
- Concert at St. John's Church in Wellington in July 2023
- We took part in Priddy Folk Festival in July 2023.
- Christmas Carol Service at Clifton College in Bristol in November 2023.
- Christmas Carol Concert at Cheltenham College in January 2024.
